We would like to introduce Will Williams - award winning garden designer and the nephew of our co-founder Rachel. 

Will is the youngest garden designer to win a gold medal at Hampton Court and here he tells is about his award winning design and the beautiful summer house that Rachel now has in her own garden and has been the best investment ever during this lockdown.  

'I cannot have imagined this lock down without my amazing sun room.  I have sun and shade in equal measures at different times of the day and it is truly like an extra room and a totally fabulous space'

We originally designed this piece for our Lagom Garden showcased at RHS Hampton Court last year.  The garden was designed to be the perfect balance between our needs and nature's.  Lagom is a Scandinavian word meaning 'not to much, not to little, just right'. This was represented in the garden by saying not to much for us, not to little for nature. 

The garden room, was no exception to this, it is also 'Lagom'.  We ensured that nature was in our thinking throughout the design, incorporating a fully planted serum roof, giving wildlife a place to relax as well as us.  The stylish black crittal like windows act as frames to the planting and views when seated, creating an ever changing piece of art.  The furniture was also designed to fit the space, this ensured that everything was easy on the eye and one can truly relax. 

I am so pleased that the garden room lives on, and that it went to Rachel is even better.  It's perfect as I'm able to enjoy the space at family get together's and use the room as it was intended, which is a luxury I don't normally get.
